According to the BBB website: "On 05/21/2022 the California Public Utilities Commission revoked the license of Road Runner Moving." We used Road Runner and had a horrible experience. They broke or damaged 95 pieces of furniture, held our belongings for a $4000 last-minute ransom, and caused over $9000 of damage. They admitted that they damaged the items and offered us only $165 in compensation! They are rated F by the Better Business Bureau for a reason.

Roadrunner Moving and Storage / Roadrunner Transit / Roadrunner - took the highest value items from my move/storage, ended the contract early and destroyed my mattresses. Thousands of dollars in loss. No response from them.
They seemed professional at first - their quote matched the cross-quotes I got and I see their trucks all over town. What to do?

Don't use this company. They're terrible. Not up front about charges so they charged me 1000+ more on pickup. Said delivery would take 8 days, then when I called after day 8 they said oh no we get 21 business days.

My stuff showed up broken and damaged. And the insurance claim only paid for $131 of thousands of damages.

Disgusting company.

I have so far had a negative experience with Road Runner Moving and Storage. A number of the items they delivered were damaged and many more were lost/did not show up. Always friendly and available on the phone, but at the end of the day I have lost money and my belongings. I am going through the lengthy, time consuming claims process now and will update if I am made whole again.

This has been not so good moving experience. The sales rep sugar coated, sweet talked and got me booked. Then the driver set up time day before. He calls the morning saying running late bt 2 hrs and then even more late. Totally 4 hrs late. They weren't packing enough by putting enough papers. Bunch of kitchen items have dents, and one of the wheels for a office chair broke. He argues with me when I questioned. They are dropping boxes, sliding them down the steps instead of carefully picking them up.
Btw the guy asked me almost double the amount than agreed saying it's more stuff. I agree it's little bit more but not double. Trying to negotiate wasted few more hours.

They worked hard and the team leader was better among the whole group.
So I gave them a tip, box of cupcakes. But probably won't call them again

If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. This company will tell you everything you want to hear, and not deliver. How ironic to make a pun about delivering, when I've been waiting for 3 days for my items that were promised to get to me by December 5th or within 24 hours of that date, and yet their recent estimation of delivery is "we don't know, maybe December 12th-14th." Not only have my items not been delivered, they messed up payment with my vehicle transportation, and my car is also not here! Fantastic! Long story short, I was given the run around by the Operations Director, Mike Miller, that this was an error in MY judgment, since I "underestimated how much room I would need on the truck" so they had to get a bigger truck, and now they're waiting to fill said big truck with other items because "that would be a stupid business decision to send out a half-filled truck." Not only was Mike very patronizing to me, his sales staff lied to me in promising the Dec 5 delivery of both the car and my stuff. Janie and Michelle were the reps who called nonstop prior to the move to notify me that they needed money, but were unreachable once I had issues (classic). I was offered a $157 discount on my $3500 move (I moved from Florida to NJ) BUT in reading over the documents, which had to be notarized, I would forfeit the opportunity to review them on yelp and other social media platforms; believe me, no amount of money is worth not being able to share my experience with the general public. Please please please learn from my mistake. I write this as I'm sitting on my air mattress in the middle of an empty living room eating Chinese food out of a carton with no plates, silverware and WITH NO FURNITURE! As you can see from the picture, my cat Hazel is just as displeased with this service.

I definitely do not recommend this company to anyone. My experience with them was one the worst in my entire life. First, before paying $400 to make the reservation, I was very clear that my move out date had to be on that specific date and no other day. The company guaranteed that it would happen. I scheduled the movers to arrive between the 11am - 1pm timeframe. They called to say it got pushed back to 2pm. At 2:30pm still nobody arrived. When I called back, the lady to whom I spoke to had no clue about my moving date and place and did not call back despite her saying that she will after figuring it out. I called the man who originally scheduled the reservation. He had no idea that they were late. I mentioned my concerns that the place I was moving in to did not allow anybody to move in after 6pm. So my husband began to move all the boxes to the lobby to accelerate the process. At 5:30pm the movers had still not arrived.
Finally, after many, many calls, at 6pm the movers showed up and only needed to move the couch and the crib out of the house because my husband had already done the rest by that time. Given that it was 7:00pm, the company offered to deduct $150 from my total amount, so that my husband, my 2-year-old and I could stay at a hotel in NYC and that all our stuff would remain in the truck till the next day. My husband and I could not miss work the next day, we could not find a hotel at that time, so we decided to go to our new place and beg to allow us to move in our stuff at 8pm. After seeing that we had a baby and that the truck was right outside, they allowed us and gave us 1/2 hour to move everything in. So again, my husband had to help move our stuff in. The man in charge of scheduling the moving called at 8:30pm and said that even though we managed to move in to our new place, they would still deduct the $150, but that I need to pay the rest of the corresponding amount to the movers ($500) and that the next day he will figure out a reimbursement for the delay and all the distress they had caused. So, I believed him...I paid the remaining amount ($500 plus $200 tip). After 2 days he said that he will reimburse me with a check of the amount of $200 and that he is sorry for everything. It has been almost 2 months now, I haven't received any check despite many text messages reminding him about it. I would never use this company again and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I had a really great experience w/ Road Runner Moving & Storage! They made my move from Queens to Brooklyn super easy :) From giving me their pricing estimate to the actual delivery, the entire communication process was simple - all thanks to Justin! He was a very professional and friendly salesperson who made sure I understood the terms of the contract, costs, and he answered all my questions thoroughly with ease.

On the day of the move, their crew showed up on time, and packed up my miscellaneous items in a box for me. As for the bigger pieces of furniture, they even took apart my kitchen table and bed frame then assembled it in my new place! It was literally the smoothest move ever and they are undoubtedly the best movers in NYC.
