This company has poor communication skills and contracts slow drivers. I recently had my car shippracross country. I had to call safemile to get a notified of any updates my vehicle pickup and delivery. The day before delivery I call to confirm my car is will be picked up on time only to find out it will be delayed because driver was late. The same thing happened the following day and the same day before delivery.
When I complained to safemile about the inconvenience of having my pickup delayed the dispatch said they could reassign my driver but it would cost me more money.
Every time I spoke directly to the driver he told me conflicting information. Examples: I'm down the street from you...I'm 20 minutes away ...I'll see you at 10(45 minutes later).
If I have to ship my car again, I would go with a different company.

After much research of transport companies, I made an online inquiry with

on January 17, 2024. It auto generated a quote and an ID #151863 with basic information. On January 29, 2024 I did another inquiry from a different starting state and received a quote and ID #152897. On January 29, 2024 I called Safe Mile Auto Transport from my cell phone (240) 784-6215 and spoke with Joseph and made him aware I am interested in more information on how their services work. Joseph explained to me there is an initial deposit of $250 which I paid by credit card payment at that time to hold my online quote. I reiterated the date I needed my truck to be picked up, which we both confirmed 1/29/2024. Joseph stated he would check to make sure a driver would be available and call me back.
Joseph called me back and stated he has a driver available for my date. The driver/trucker requires the balance on the day of delivery in full. I then asked Joseph could I use my credit card for the balance on the day of delivery. Joseph stated no and I would have to pay the total balance in cash. I then asked do your drivers accept ZELLE, Paypal or VEMO? Joseph stated let me ask my manager and I will call you back. I stated ok.
Joseph called me back and stated if I use my credit card for the final transaction it would be an additional $85 added to my total. I then asked Joseph what is the additional charge for? Who does the additional money go to? Joseph could not give me a response. He muffled something which I did not understand. At that time, I requested a full refund back to my credit card since he and his manager could not conduct business appropriately regarding payment options. Later that evening 1/29/2024 I received an email for order #152897 stating if my account has been charged then I should expect to receive my refund within 3-4 business days.
On February 19, 2024 I called Safe Mile and spoke with Jimmy in reference to not receiving my full refund. Jimmy indicated that I should have received my refund by now. After speaking with Jimmy and not having any resolution I sent an email to [email protected] in reference to the order number and not receiving my $250 refund. I than receive a response email from another representative named Eric who informs me their team is currently conducting a thorough investigation into my order including detailed review of the voice recordings with assurance that the recordings are doubled checked before reaching out to me again regarding my refund.
My response to Eric's email was:
~ It is illegal to record any conversation without the other party's consent or knowledge of the recording according to Virginia code (Va. Code Ann. 19.2-62) which is a felony offense.
~I did not have any written contract with Safe Mile Auto Transport at any time.
~A driver was not assigned to my order because we could not agree on payment options upon delivery of my vehicle.
I sent Eric an email on 2/27, 2024 stating his recorder must be broken since I have not received any updates. I then received a follow up email from Eric which appears to be an invoice that has bogus information cut and pasted from some other transaction into the invoice stating I cancelled the contract.
~Yes, my credit card was later approved with the condition an additional $85 would be added if I agreed. No explanation for the additional cost.
~Also stated that I blocked their number, so they were unable to call me.
At this time, I am submitting this letter as an official complaint since Safe Mile Auto Transport and I cannot come to an agreement to resolve this matter. Their practices are fraudulent and do not match their online policies. Please review this detailed information.

I received an estimate (2 months ago) for $850 to transport my car from CA to CO. The day I was expecting transport, they told me that the cost would be $1,100. So here I am at the deadline and they are trying to bait and switch the price and not willing to honor the estimate. I even spoke with a manager who did nothing. I called another transport company who honors their word. Buyer Beware!

Carriers/Customers beware I booked two high end motorcycles to ship west and was told and contracted to be paid within 5 days of delivery thru Zelle. After 5 days was told Zelle was not working If they can send a check in the mail. I agreed said that's fine. They texted me a picture to confirm it was made out correctly I said yes. Called 3 times in next 10 days asking where this check is and was lied to every time and told it's in the mail. After two weeks I called where is my check they admit it wasn't sent I should have deposited with the picture. Chase said absolutely not true a texted picture is no good. So then I give them a negative review and the manager Felix calls asking why I gave them a negative review, what nerve. And he himself admits the check was never sent telling me to remove the review or he won't pay. I told him he has to pay first since they have done nothing but lie about everthing. He said they aren't going to pay. Customers beware shipping your vehicle because of a broker none payment may result in a lien placed on your vehicle or vehicle's.
stay away from this company I booked transportation was given a price of 335 i followed up with them just to be told 2 days prior the truck was broke then John the rep that was helping said he could find someone else but it was 425 I had to agree i had a deadline to get the car there I was told today with the new transportation company that they would pick it up tomorrow between 8-9 am I confirmed later that day I followEd up with them to see what time it would be delivered tomorrow just to be told the truck was broken down that was the same thing as the first time I tried calling the salesman John now he doesn't answer he received his money and now won't answer DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY BEWARE I haven filed a complaint with my credit card company

It was tough trusting a shipping company that I had no knowledge of but these guys had some good reviews and were very helpful over text. I shipped my car from Miami to Atlanta with them and it arrived in great shape just as they promised
had my vehicles transported was told 8 days it is now 13 days still no vehicle. there has been communication at all and when I texted the driver was rude and said can't text and drive. that was 3 days ago. I called the company and they can not get in contact with the driver.
