I was emailing back and forth with a Sherpa employee about transporting my car, but when I asked to change the pickup date, he ghosted me! I emailed the company a few times to let them know I hadn't heard anything back. Still nothing from anyone! That was very strange and a red flag for me. I'm just glad I never paid them any $!

His level of communication was far better than expected and made every effort to accommodate any schedule adjustment needed. Everything went very smooth. They found me a driver very fast for my 2018 jaguar fpace. I did an open carry car transport from Virginia across country and their service was excellent. I booked to have my daughter's car transported to college from California to Massachusetts and everything went smoothly. I was really nervous when I booked with them being that there were a lot scam artists out there.

I really cannot say enough great things about this company. It was slightly more (couple hundred) than the competition but l worth every penny. I have read other nightmares.. This was by far the most stressful car transportation experience yet. It took a good while for them to get a driver. I told myself if they can't find anyone by day 7 then I would cancel and go with another company because we really needed the car to be here. On day 7, we were assigned Great Silk Rd Transportation and things went downhill really fast. Here's a short summary:



1. The driver barely spoke any English and was very rude over the phone.

2. The driver called 30 mins prior and dropped google pin to the side of busy freeway expecting us to be there. Claiming that the pick up address was "invalid", we eventually talked him down to a safer location. Mind you, in the email it states that they would call 12-24 hrs before. Every time I called to clarify where to meet him because I wasn't in TX and had to have my family members to drop it off, he seemed more and more agitated.

3. The car somehow made it to San Diego, CA from Wills Point, CA in 24 hrs, I wouldn't normally complain about this if the driver had partner with him to ensure they had enough rest to drive but he was completely on his own. Makes me question safety of that company.

4. Once he was in the area, he dropped a pin on where to meet him. It was on the side of very busy road that is known to have many accidents in middle of rush hour traffic. Once I ask him to please move to safer road closer to the house due to the fact I was by myself with two little children and my husband being unavailable to drive the other car back he proceeded to yell at me over the phone "NO IN NOT MOVING, CHECK GAS STATION, ILL BE HERE GOR 10-15 MINUTES THEN MOVING ON!!" Then hang up on me. Shaken by this, I tried calling Sherpa about this but one of the numbers on the website is no longer in service and other just sent me to voicemail. Same this with Silk Rd. Eventually, I decided to drive past where he was at and saw that he dropped the car already. Once I pulled over, I was able to talk him into moving the car to different road away from the traffic.







Please, if you decide to book with Shapra as a broker, keep in mind that they are not available to all times like other brokers I've used in the past. If you try to call, expect long wait times and if they assign Great Silk Rd, tell them to look for someone else. Look up the reviews of the drivers company, apparently they treat everyone like trash. My hands are still shaking days later after this experience

This past December I moved my vehicle across country from NJ to Los Angeles. I found Sherpa to be efficient and the drivers on both ends were thorough, on time and friendly. Sherpa customer service was very accommodating and responded to all my questions quickly and effectively.

While the industry of shipping a personal vehicle is frustrating, archaic, non-intuitive, and absolutely *stuffed* with fraudsters and scam artists, at least Sherpa seems to stand out as a professional breath of fresh air.
They have a price guarantee (within a few hundred $$) so you end up less tossed around at the whim of the shipper that may accept your vehicle for transport.
They are also communicative and readily available via phone, text, or email to address details that may come up with your shipment.
My main frustration (outside of the industry as a whole) was just that I would have preferred better communication between broker (Sherpa) and shipper (truck) to avoid less confusion about what specific vehicle I was sending. Was it oversized? Was it acceptable? These should have been addressed prior to job acceptance and my communicating with the trucker...by my count the shipment fell through 3 times prior to ultimate acceptance and transport.
All told, I'm still planning on using them in the future if/when I ship a vehicle cross country.

I called around and received quotes from multiple transport companies. Dylan at Sherpa was extremely helpful. He provided tips, tricks and feedback. I was provided a quote and when I called back I received a better deal! LL Inc was the company that picked up and delivered my truck. This truck was my dad's who recently passed away and this truck means everything to me. It was hard to trust a trucking company to have transport it for me. LL Inc went above and beyond when delivering my truck! During pick up my uncle and grandma were really impressed on how well he did getting the truck onto his truck (my truck is inoperable). Once he got here. He again, not only delivered the truck, but he helped get the truck into our garage where I wanted to store it. He got it as close as he could and then helped my husband and some neighbors push the truck into the garage and position it to where it was out of the way. My truck is a 72 Ford F100. This wasn't easy and it was over 100 degrees outside! I'm extremely thankful for Sherpa and LL Inc for doing such an incredible job getting my dad's first baby home to me!

Be very careful about doing business with Sherpa. They will try to scam you as many times as they can.
Short, if you don't feel like reading it all:
- Take a screen shot of the quote. They send you an email with a link to go to the quote. But they change that quote later without notifying you, and you won't have proof of the original quote.
- If above happens please report them to BBB, etc.

They have this thing they call "rebate", where they would return $50 or $100 to you once your transfer is done. What they don't tell you is that first, you need to send your final receipt (that you get from the truck driver via email at the time of delivery) back via snail mail to them to get this done. You also have only 14 days to do that (print it, get envelop and stamp, mail it, all while you just moved to a new location). Second, they changed my quote and reduced that initial $100 rebate to $50, without even telling me. I'm actually reporting them to BBB for this.

Customer service is also horrible. They answer the phone very quickly when you want to get a quote, but once you already paid the initial fee and need follow ups with the dispatch team it become impossible to get through (I called 3 times and 2 times I couldn't even get through and one time I waited 20 minutes to talk to someone).

Edit: after I sent them an email and mentioned I'm reporting them to BBB, within a minute they called me and also refunded me directly to my credit card, without needing to mail them anything. I'm still upset because when I clicked on the "Quote" link in my email, I noticed they changed it from $50 to $100, again, without telling me. It's a terrible and fishy practice to change the quotes on their side without telling the customer.

Quick and easy shipping of my vehicle from TX to FL. Arrived a little dirty on the exterior, but with no other issues.

I did not have any issues with Sherpa. (Sherpa has just reached out to me to help resolve the issue, I will update more after issue is resolved).....It was the carrier Horizon Carriers. I had 2 cars shipped 2000 miles they put my Charger on the bottom and my Shelby on the top because the said it was to low, which the Charger is lower then they drove through the forest to get it to me. The owner of Horizon told me that the scratches were already there and showed me his copy after he added all the scratches on it...I found it odd they were not on my copy and the car had no scratches on the paint when it left. The Horizon owner was nice enough to offer me $50 to have the car buffed out which has Ceramic Coat and the entire front end has Clear Bra on it. So now I have to pay $1700 out of my pocket because I guess driving through the forest is an act of God says Horizons insurance. I would recommend do more research than I did before you ship your car. I will not be recommending it to and of my friends or family when they move.

The process was simple and very speedy. Maybe I got lucky on driver schedule but basically had the car at my home 26 hours after signed up (650 miles away).

Most importantly, I felt the process and ultimate shipper/driver were trustworthy. Would use all parties again!

Initial transporter, they arranged, failed to show. After a day or so, they were able to locate another transporter and while the delivery was late by several days, they did show concern customer service and kept me well informed. They also refunded some of my fee so overall, they turned a problem into a net customer service positive.

**Update - Post Delivery**

Sherpa and Extra Mile Inc. made my transport experience great! Taras from Extra Mile was kind and communicative. He made sure to give me an accurate time frame of when he'd arrive for delivery, and provided safe and easy places to meet him.

Wow! Great experience. We needed a car transported quickly. Sherpa came through. Within a couple of days they found a driver and three days after that we had our car. Everything went smoothly.

I had my SUV shipped last-minute from SC to MA and the service was fantastic! I had a quote within 24 hours of submitting a request, my transport was booked shortly thereafter, and my car arrived at home 24 hours after being picked up. I will 100% use Sherpa Auto Transport in the future!

It was great experience from start to finish. Timely communication and detailed explanation of each step along the way. Provided transport contact who stayed in touch from pickup, in route and 30 minutes out from final destination. The transporter had experienced working in dealerships and was familiar with providing personal care, safety and protection of my vehicle.

Sherpa had one problem. First company they set me up with was Nigerian with two phone numbers, neither of which worked. Was not about to trust my vehicle to them. Second company was good. Alexia the driver was on time and very good and helpful, delivered perfectly.

Every thing that was connected to Sherpa from the sales reps to the transport company they chose for me was excellent. The price was standard for service like this, but their reviews were great too. Would definitely choose again for transportation of expensive vehicles.

If you've never used a transport company, read this first . . .

One thing to know is if you fill out any form online, you will be bombarded with thirty phone calls, texts, and emails -- 30 for calls, 30 texts, 30 emails. It was non-stop. My fault for not thinking.

Next thing to know is that there are many scam artists who will take your money. Nothing against call centers in another country but the manipulating tactics of these "salesman" made me uncomfortable. One guy was particularly attempting to be forceful with scare tactics.

We had two cars to transport from south Florida to San Diego. Our sons are both Marines newly stationed in CA and they needed their cars.

I spoke to another transport company who quoted $2500 per car. When I said I wanted to get other quotes, I was sternly informed that I would find nothing better. Lol.

The way transports work is that your "transport need" gets posted on a "board" where the actual transporters or transport companies will bid on them. They need their transport truck to be filled. Sometimes, if the quote the company you called (which is a middle man, not the transporter) doesn't get filled, you will get a call from that company asking you for more money to entice a transporter into taking your bid to transport your cars.

You will deal with NONE of that with Sherpa Transport. They guarantee the first price quote in writing that you accept. And there is not a single fee or hidden charge after that. I had such a bad experience with the dozens of calls and abusive quotes that I asked the Sherpa agent how this whole thing works. He was honest and explained it all to me. Then he explained they only work with insured vetted transporters.

The experience with the transporter was incredible. The dispatcher called me a few days early and communicated with me the name of driver and time window. Then the actual driver called me. He was an Angel! He was so kind and friendly. His truck was top notch and IMMACULATE! I knew the cars would be safe. We paid around $1300 each ($2600 total). Considering the insurance costs, gas, cost to maintain those trucks, and time, it was worth every penny. But the peace of mind was out of this world! I had a safe feeling with Sherpa and the transporter they hired. I spoke to several agents at Sherpa because my first agent was off the next day when I was due to sign. Every person I spoke to was highly respectful and helpful (night and day to the other companies I spoke to). Note that you have 24 hours to take the quote. You won't have to worry, you are making the best decision.

Great job Sherpa! And reward your agents! They are well trained and caring which is hard to find in this day and age.

Be aware when using Sherpa. I received a quote to ship my car home five weeks prior to my departure. I never received another word from them until I had one week to go. They said they were confident they would have a carrier in time. They finally secured a carrier two days before departure. However the very next day with one day remaining the carrier canceled and Sherpa had not other options. We had to cancel our plans and drive our car home. Never again!

As we had a tight schedule, I paid Sherpa a $200 premium for a specified pick up window. The driver did not meet the time window, so I requested a refund of the $200. At first Sherpa refused. When I escalated, however, Sherpa did agree to provide the refund.

Terrible company. they We're unable to pick up our car as promised but kept telling us we would have a carrier up until the day before our move date. They then told us to find another option because they couldn't do it. Nothing like trying to find another carrier on the last day in town. They could have informed us days prior. Very poor company filled with liars.

After reviewing and considering numerous auto transport companies I decided to go with Sherpa Auto Transport to deliver my new Corvette from Austin, TX to the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. I both spoke with representatives on the phone and via email. My questions were always quickly and thoroughly answered. The representatives were always very professional and friendly. As Sherpa is basically a broker, they connected me with the company that actually transported my car. Sherpa continually kept me updated regarding any information that I needed. The car was picked up as scheduled and delivered to my home without a scratch four days after pickup. Sherpa was fabulous and I highly recommend them.

My boo boo! Sherpa did make amends by giving me a $25 credit and I have mud on my face for not picking this up. Ryan the Operations Manager informed me of this and I apologized greatly and feel their customer service is truly a 5 star.
