I was referred to Sonic Auto transportation by a friend to mine to have a vehicle shipped from Utah to PA. After contacting them and signing the contract, Ariana Moretti was assigned to work with me. She was responsible for locking in a driver and ensuring I was updated until my vehicle was delivered safely to my home. She was extremely communicative, polite, and kept me updated thoroughly. I really appreciated the great service from her!

Be careful with this company! We used them to ship a car from Oklahoma to California and they pulled the bait and switch. The day the truck was scheduled to get picked up, we received a call the transport was cancelled and in order to find another shipper, it was going to cost us an additional $300 from the original quote. We had shopped around before settling on this company and had thought the priced seemed too good to be true. In fact, another company we were going to go with warned us of the bait and switch, but we still decided to use Sonic. When the truck was delivered fine after all was said and done, we decided to give them another shot. Our daughter is in the Marines and is stationed in Virginia so we had to ship her car from California over there. Once again, the same bait and switch thing happened with her car where it ended up costing her about $400 more than the original quote.

Just give me the price and I'll decide if it's a good deal or not. I think My deal was very fair $800 from Houston to Cali. Stefan helped me a lot and I appreciated the service and communication. I'd use them again now knowing what I know.

My rep Chester was a cool dude but used my trust to have me overpay and underdeliver on their services. just drive the car wherever you need it to go, its probably cheaper anyways

BEWARE ALL! This company sends you a LOW price as they have One partner truck, however they don't send them proper or correct information so when they so up for pickup "the vehicle is too big". Worked with CHESTER TEMP Broker gave them the wrong phone number, my address street and city were combined and most importantly no VIN, so the trucker could get the exact vehicle dimensions. Then when the truck leaves you stranded they Raise the price up $500 and multiple truck companies began contacting me directly. When basic information can't even be entered properly I don't even want to think about what would have happened if there was a shipping problem. STAY AWAY!!!

I actually spend about 5 minutes listening to him complain and try to explain the same thing over and over, yet he wouldn't listen to any of my suggestions. To make matters worse, he got loud and was yelling at me. I spent another 5 minutes playing psychiatrist for the guy and had to suggest that if he can't handle his current job, then maybe he should think about finding a new career. He was near tears at points too. After 10minutes, when I was finally fed up, and i said 1 curse word, he then hung up on me. So unprofessional!

It's only 5 hours away. So, saturday at about noon, I check the GPS and my car is in Indianapolis, but I live near Chicago. My car sat in Indianapolis all day Saturday and Sunday. I did not get the car until Monday.

They would have received 5 stars but the day of I was told the driver canceled and I ended up paying $400 more then I was quoted to ship my car the same day. My car got to the destination in 2 days, which was pretty quick. Overall it was a good experience.

I contacted Sonic Auto to have my truck transported from SoCal to Oregon. I was helped by Daniel Alar who answered all of my questions and made the process easy, as I had never done something like this before. Daniel stayed in contact with me and made sure everything went according to plan. Would recommend Daniel to anyone.

Lennard at Sonic Auto is one of the most unprofessional and rude employees I have ever dealt with. After a week of back and forth and signing the contract, on the day of the pickup, the driver "breaks down" and the price of delivery more than doubled. DO NOT USE! Deceitful and false leading throughout the entire process.

I arranged for my car to be picked up and signed an agreement stating the cost as well as the pick up date. 30 minutes before my window time from for the car to be picked up I get a call from John the manager "apologizing for the inconvenience" and proceeds to tell me a story about the carrier who was supposed to get 6 cars from a dealership before picking up my car was no longer able to get the 6 cars due to the dealership canceling the entire order and that my car would not be able to get picked up but he would see what he could do. He calls back telling me he is still searching then calls me back two minutes after hanging up telling me he didn't want to ask but wanted to give me all of my options so the car could be picked up today and gives me the option of paying $1100 when my original quote was $695! Absolutely insane! There was no accident that this happened. John told my friend a similar story when the cars were being picked up from the same place but told her it would cost her $1300 to get her car picked up. Thank goodness I did not have a flight to catch or anything to where I would have been forced to pay the extra money out of desperation to have my car. Believe the reviews, this company is a scam and I don't understand how they are still in business with the way they are operating. Prior to booking I called with concerns due to the reviews and was told those people were upset because they said the cars were operable and was not when the driver got there so another company had to be used which cost more. I needed two vehicles shipped from MA to Tn within a short time frame due to a sick family member. both vehicles were taken care of in a very professional manner. delivery was on time and the driver was excellent! the price for the 2 cars was excellent as well. I signed a contract with an agent called Lennard 2 weeks before my pick-up date. He later informed me that the driver would be unable to pick up my car and offered me prices much higher than our first deal. He informed me of this on the day of my shipment. This company is very unreliable and has caused me a lot of inconvenience.

Just got a quote from sonic transport for 275.00 and pick up on Monday and now they said every route is full and it will cost 750.00 more to get it shipped. Ask for a refund and they ask me for receipt and it's funny I couldn't find one. It you want your vehicle shipped find a different company.

Luke did good transporting my car. Price changed because last minute the driver couldn't make it to me which caused a little difficulty but he helped fix it. Got my car here safely.

I needed my Tesla Model Y transported from Boca Raton, FL to West Orange, NJ and Gene Yerak of Sonic not only made this happen for me, but he made the process easy and seamless. Before contacting Gene at Sonic, I tried a number of carriers who either did not transport to NJ or would not transport in the summer. Gene/ Sonic found a great carrier for me for a reasonable price. I highly recommend Gene Yerak and Sonic for all your vehicle transportation needs.

My brand new car broke down in rural Montana and there were no dealerships in these rural areas . I was hesitant to use Sonic because of the above bad reviews . Luke from Sonic saved the day . He got my car shipped to my dealership in Texas in 24 hours and for $1350 instead of waiting 10-14 days and paying $1800 as requested by the high rated companies alleging that I am in very rural area. Sonic staff called many truckers in person to get me out of there .

I recently used Sonic Auto transportation to deliver my vehicle from Seattle to Texas, and I'm extremely satisfied with their service. The car arrived in excellent condition, and the entire process was smooth and hassle-free. Highly recommended!

BE VERY AWARE. I HAVE REPORTED THIS COMPANY TO THE BBB. THEIR BBB rating is a C-. I wish I would have researched this company first. Do not use this company.....They are a SCAM. I called and spoke with Luke Howard on May 1st. I explained I needed to transport my sons car to from FL to WV as he has to be out of the university dorm on May 4th. He assured me for $585.00 they would pick up the car on the 3rd no later than the 4th. I gave Luke my credit card information and he said he would run it for$185 and the other $400 has to be paid to the driver in cash so he wouldn't have to pay taxes. That should have been my first red flag.

Luke told me one of his drivers would call me two days before to scheduled pick up. No one called and I had to keep calling them and he assured me the driver would call.

I got a call three hours before the pickup was scheduled and was told they cancelled the pick up because they changed their route. Luke then called me and said I can have another driver there in two days and the price will be double. I told him I would drive the car myself as I needed it there by the 4th.

Look then texted me and would not take my calling telling me he will be charging my card (which he did) for $200 as per the contract. Saying they had a five day window to pick up the car.

When you see this company name run.

Total scam. We contracted to ship a car for 325.00 from Orange County to Sacramento. Signed contract and everything. Then at the time of pickup Levi Fisher calls and says the price is now 533.00. He says the contract is void and we must pay the new price. We argued and then hung up. Total scam job.

Recently wanted to transport a car from NJ to AL, they tried to do a bait and switch, and charge 50% more after they requested and gotten my credit card information. And wasted my time after days of organizing. Unprofessional ghetto... please stay away , you are warned!

First I requested an enclosed trailer for three antique cars for a Wednesday. The company canceled the day they were suppose to be there two hours later than scheduled. Second, it was rescheduled for the next day. The guy showed up six hours later than scheduled with an open trailer. The broker of this company is to blame due to not contacting us about the time frame, arranging the wrong trailer, and not following up on complaints I sent to him by phone and email. The company charged me before the car hauler was even there and more money than we agreed on. I can not even reach a human being by phone at the broker company anymore. Do not use this broker company!!

Eliot was my agent and he helped me get my car shipped safely and on time. Sonic is the best!!

I hired this company to move my vehicle from Mi to Fl. They gave me a price of $1075 and said they would pick it up in 4 days. They lied. They, on THE DAY they were to pick it up, came back with a price of $2800. Then $1700. Two to three times their original price! As I had no choice I had to agree as I had to have my vehicle. I then never heard from them again. After countless! phone calls to them they state the transport truck now has transmission problems. Two more days go by. THEY NEVER CALL. We call them over and over. They never communicate. I spoke with Tim once when he called with the ridiculous new price, and he was a complete jerk. Now we have no vehicle and no time to hire others. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. All these groups are just brokers who lie to you to get your commitment and then change everything. Just an awful group who could care less about your predicament or your needs. It is all about their needs. Horrible Horrible experience. Both Tim and Karen cannot tell the truth and are just awful people. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!

We transported a car through Sonic Auto Transportation in Costa Mesa . The 1st driver had to cancel, but Diego found another driver within 12 hrs. Good job Diego! The car was delivered the next day. Our first quote with the previous driver was lower at $385. We ended up paying $550 for the 2nd driver. It was still reasonably priced and comparable to other quotes we got. I would have given it 5 stars if they could have gotten the job done with the 1st quoted price. Thanks for the delivery!

Wish I'd read these reviews before wasting several weeks trying to get our car to New York! We entered into contract $1485 for a cross country, reliable, safe and dependable trip for our car. Unfortunately trusted Sandra and gave her our credit card number. Now I'll have to keep close watch as someone said Sonic may be selling on the black market!! GOOD GOD!!!!!! Long story short, back and forth, days for pick-up, zero communication, calls to company and even told that Daniel Gomez (supposed to be our driver) didn't even work for that company, re-scheduling dates, on and on and on! Finally told that for maybe $2200 or $3000 they could do the job.

I got a quote from these guys once to ship a vehicle. I never went through with the service, HOWEVER, I did get a disturbing email from someone who claims to be a former employee of this business. This person claims that this company was engaged in the accumulation of personal and payment information with the aim of its future sale on the black market and they were also preparing to steal your money and/or extort you, conduct attacks on your email address or phone number.

This person also claims that Sonic Auto Transportation is just a DBA for Crystal Car Shipping Inc, and they illegally operate as two different companies under one FMCSA license and one BMC-84 Bond And also they have an additional company ALPHA ONE TRANSPORTATION INC (USDOT - 3670557), where they are posing as carriers (basically conducting illegal double-brokerage of loads).

Usually I would think this was a spam email, but too much seems to line up with the email.

He also gave the name of the owner, Genadiy Katsov, who supposedly has ties to the Russian mafia and various money laundering schemes.

Be careful if you are considering this business, even if the claims above are false, this business DOES have many poor reviews in regards to this company scamming/stealing customers money for a terrible service.

I would love to get a response from the business regarding this matter.

We searched for options for car transport and went with Sonic Auto Transport because it was the lowest cost for the timeframe we requested. We declined all our other options and fully planned on shipping with Sonic Auto Transport. A day prior to our move, we received a call that that price and possibly our option to ship was gone. Given we were moving that weekend, we had no other options but to accept the $425 higher price. I was additionally quoted that, even with the change, my car would be picked up on 7/8, and delivered on Tuesday 7/12, yet it wasn't delivered to me until Friday, 7/15.

Moving is an incredibly stressful process so relying on the quotes from providers should be a baseline expectation. They said on the phone that prices can change was disclosed in the contract but that is a poor business tactic in my opinion. Many people would refer to that as a bait and switch. You lure a customer in with a lower price, and then, when they have no other options, you increase the price. This is supported by the fact that they only accept immediate payment methods (eg: cashier's check, Venmo, Zelle). My guess is they realize that many consumers would file a chargeback with their credit card company.

We requested a refund and they declined.

Terrible, please please please stay away, these guys use very weird techniques, intimidating and manipulating. I think they are pure scam and I am happy I did not fall for this crap. Here is my story. I don't like driving, I have an old car and zero intentions of buying a new one because I don't really care about vehicles. However, you must have one as we all know. I was thinking, OK my car is old so I dont want to spend too much in shipping it and I hate driving so doing so from San Jose to San Diego would be a nightmare. Then I checked prices on Yelp and somehow got to this company or they contacted me, don't recall that detail. Next I know is that I have a nice talk professional but suspiciously nice with a guy with French accent. He sent me the quote and it was like around $400. I thought great, it would be same price as gas minus the driving, lets do it. I signed the paperwork and did not hear from him for a month (I did my homework way in advance from the moving date). I keep calling from time to time to make sure they were getting a driver for me, and nothing, no answer no nothing. I keep emailing and nothing. I was already getting desperate and checking other options. Then one day the French dude pick up the phone, reassures me he is looking for a driver to do my route and will get back. Then 2 days before moving date, I get stressed, called and was the same woman others have mentioned telling me she is finding a driver and will pick my car the arranged date. Day D arrived (and i had alternative plan of driving with a friend because it was smelling like a scam) this girl calls me asking for credit card immediately and that the prices is now $900. I said no way, furious. She said oh you dont have another option. The driver is coming, we need to act fast. I was like what is going on. I told her the estimate was 400, and not the day arrives and is more than doble. She started to threaten me to 'report me online' if i did not pay (thanks god i did not give my credit card). She was desperate and told me she could de 700 saying i was a veteran. But i am not a veteran, that is a lie, I shouted back. On top of that I was feeling sick and I told her let me think about. Then it was a constant harassing via text, phone, email. For weeks. terrible terrible terrible. Stay away.

My car was to be picked up on 6 /22 before noon. Around 10:00 that morning I received a call and she said the driver will be there in 45 minutes. I was quoted $990.00 and signed a contract. Then the women told me that the price was going to be $1,350.00 because they could not fill the truck. I argued for sometime but had no choice at the time but to pay the price as it would have cost us way more to change our travel plans. When the driver came to pick up the car the trailer was full and our car was his last pickup. He was going directly from Orange County, CA to Seattle. I would not reccommend this company to anyone.

If there was an ability to give zero stars I would have done so. I arranged to have a car shipped from Los Angles to San Fransisco May 2022 two weeks prior to pickup. I electronically signed a contract with them 6 days before the agreed shipping day but was told by their representative Sophie that details of pickup time and contact of the driver could only be had 1-2 days before. I expressed my concerns of such an unreliable arrangement, but was assured by her that there was an assigned trucker and details would be available 1-2 days prior to pickup. She further said that this is "Custom and Practice" in the trucking industry and brokers generally confirm with contracted truckers 1-2 days prior.
On the weekend before the schedule Tuesday pickup I called Sonic for confirmation, but was told by two representatives on two different calls that my contact person (Sophie) is not available on weekends and that they didn't have access to give me additional details of the pickup time and trucker.

Early Monday morning I received a call from Sophie stating that she couldn't get a trucker because the person she contracted had mechanical problems with his truck and alternative truckers quoted costs that were two times what we contracted for. Imagine how I felt when I heard this! After some back and forth with her trying to over talk me I expressed to her how disappointed I was and such a last minute notice was unacceptable. I noted to her that from our substantive contact I expressed to her that I was traveling from out of state to Los Angles specifically to complete this transaction among other business obligations.

Obviously, this was a deliberate attempt to gouge me at the last minute. With an expectation that there wouldn't have been any alternative means of getting the vehicle shipped. I take some culpability for not checking Yelp Reviews. Google reviews rated this company well, but now reading 'Yelp Reviews" I realized my error of judgement. I will post a google review so as to pay it forward so that other individuals like myself cannot be lured/sucked into their scheme of doing business.

Do yourself a favor and do not engage this company in business. I booked weeks in advance for an interstate car pick up and delivery. Completely non responsive - car never picked up. I called all available lines - they never picked up. Horrible service. If I could give zero stars I would.

I signed agreement to transport my car from Dallas to Costa mesa pick up on May 2nd for a fixed fee of $515 and authorized charge of $515 on March 23, 2022.
Prior to May 2nd, they repeatedly confirmed and acknowledged everything was in order for pickup as scheduled. My daughter who was done with school had plans and flight on May 3rd.
On May 2nd the company was not reachable as they failed to pick up the car. After 20 Emails and calls, on May 3rd, a new sales person finally contacted me to state that they can't commit to $515 price and new price is $1100.

When the cart arrived on May 8th, the driver of truck would not release the car unless I made a $550 cash to him which I was forced to pay. I told him I was promised $515 and I already paid!
But he said that's not his fees and he refused to unload unless I paid him in cash.
DON"T FALL INTO THEIR FRAUDULENT TRAP.......

Me and my family are making a long distance move and needed two vehicles transported. We called pretty early in the week I believe and Emma worked out a decent deal with us, we gave our card information to be charged a deposit when picked up, and the rest when dropped off. We made an agreement for our vehicles to be picked up that (Friday) 2/29/22. Our vehicles were never picked up. There were many excuses and promises to return calls to figure out next steps. They NEVER called back, texted, or emailed with further information.

On (Monday) 5/02/22 we decided to call Emma again to cancel because... c'mon this is extremely unprofessional you know? There's no reason it has been so many days passed and my vehicles haven't been picked up. She said okay we can cancel and that was supposed to be it.

We contacted another transportation company and our cars were picked up the next day! They informed us that our reservation with this company was never removed. On the back end they're able to see names and move information to contact people and place bids for the job. We called this company to cancel, again, and was told it would be canceled, again.

It's currently (Wednesday) 5/05/22. We get a text from another colleague named Chloe saying "We're waiting on my driver to have three more cars before picking up your vehicles." Out of confusion we let her know we've canceled already, twice! This is the third time from the employees not communicating with each other. And She says we'll have to be charged a cancellation fee... uhm... no. For the lack of communication and being extremely unprofessional, and not even attempting to pick up our vehicles, out of courtesy we should not be charged a cancellation fee.

We call Emma to try to get clarification and she says yes it's been canceled, so we said she is going to have to let Chloe know. She hung up on us.

Chloe proceeded to inform us through text that because we refused to pay a cancellation fee, now our credit card information will remain posted on their open forum and they can't control what happens with it. So threatening us with the possibility of having our card information stolen?... nice. She said "Just letting you know what happens." Apparently she's the senior manager and is the one to deny or accept all cancellation requests. Not sure how credible that is. We simply told her she's going to have to talk to Emma for not updating her on our reservation's status.

Very unfortunate situation to be in, especially when you're getting closer to your move with a million other things to take care of. People can't drop what they're doing for a few weeks to wait on some shady car transportation company to get their crap together. Dictionary definition of "you get what you pay for."

By far, the worst experience I have ever had with any vehicle transportation company!

I have a signed contract dated 2/19/22 stating the total cost would be $1000 to move my '72 Corvette from Los Angeles to NC. The salesperson, Lucas, assured me that he was in contact with "The Driver" as we negotiated the price and we both signed the contract.

The day before our scheduled pick-up on 3/30, I was told that I needed to now work with Marcos. Marcos said he had no knowledge of what Lucas said or did regarding "The Driver". He said that their process was to put our vehicle out to bid and that he did NOT have a driver, but he'd keep looking. With our move scheduled on 3/31, he was only able to locate a single driver, at a cost of $1550, that would pick up the car on 4/1.

The driver, Hamid, never contacted me as promised. I finally reached the driver at 8 pm on 3/31. He said he was unable to pick up the car on 4/1 and that it'd probably be 4/2 or 4/3. When I told him that he was the reason that my wife and I were scrambling to replan our cross-country move, he complained about how much stress I WAS PUTTING HIM UNDER.

My only option was for a late night pick up. This allowed the driver to take my vehicle and hand me a form in the dark to sign which stated that he had no responsibility for the condition that my car would arrive in, as he was moving it "as-is"..

I was then informed by Marcos that my car would arrive on 4/9. Once again, my wife and I had to change plans to now be in NC by 4/8. The car never arrived. When I called the driver, Hamid, he said he wouldn't be here until 4/11.

When the car arrived, the hood and windshield had car engine oil dripped all over it from a car leaking above it and it was completely filthy from dirt from the trip. Hamid turned over my car and immediately wanted full payment in cash. I pointed out how the oil was destroying my car's paint and he brought a bottle of water and dish soap and wanted to grind the dirt and oil into my car's paint. When I refused to let him touch my car and pay him in full, he called the police.

I took the measly $50 refund and will now deal with the damage to my classic car's paint.

The manager, Sam Johns, whom I have been trying to reach for 2 weeks, never contacted me as promised several times.

First time for us to transport a car across country. After contacting several places, we chose this one. Demian Spears helped us. We made arrangements, signed a contract and like other reviews, it fell through last minute. Found a new driver and price went up. But at least we got the car safely across country. Decent communication from Demian but time/day of car pickup and drop off changed several times inconveniencing the family member that was waiting with the car and for family member waiting for the car. Car arrived two days sooner than expected and we had to scramble to meet the driver as the weight of his truck was too high for our neighborhood. All in all, Demian did a terrific job following up.
