Beware of this company! They are total scam artists. I had my car shipped from Florida to California. The contract I signed states that I could pay by check but when my car arrived, the driver told me I had to pay by cash. I didn't have any cash on me, so he said I could send him payment through PayPal. He gave me his phone number and after the transaction went through, he said that actually wasn't his phone number and that I'd sent it to the wrong person. I called PayPal to cancel the charge but they said it was too late because the payment is immediate. When I told the driver I could not get my money back, he said if I didn't give him cash, he would not give me my car. He said he would not wait around until I figured this out and that if I wanted my car, I had to give him cash right away or he was leaving. I ended up having to go to the bank to get him cash so he would give me the keys to my car. Now I'm left trying to get my money back from PayPal, which doesn't give refunds. Stay away from these thieves!

They lie and forge your name on the contract they are the worst company I have ever dealt with, I canceled and didn't sign the contract because of the extra 150 for a non running car, the next day I got a call from them saying the driver was there to pick up the car and I would be charged $100 dollars ,well I called and no one was there and it was a blizzard out side nothing was Moving , so the big lie someone signed my name on the contract and charged my CC $100,
But the jokes on them I have shipped 15 cars since for my work I have turned down drivers and will never spend one dime with them
So choke on the 100 dollars you stoled it cost you a lot more in business I tell everybody about it and believe me it cost you a lot

This company is a SCAM. They damaged my car so bad. The owner max denied himself of fault and told me to file a claim on his bond. Please never contract with this company.

I was worried after the reviews - but Gilles got my car picked up and delivered within 48 hours of contacting him.

Worst experience ever. I booked well in advance and Max claimed that he could get me a near to exact car pick up date if I paid an extra fee. I paid it and then got a very vague, one sentence email a week before my scheduled pick up date that he found a driver. I thought ok, cool: guess he is planning early.

Next day I received a call from a driver saying he will pickup my car in an hour. I was very upset because Max didn't tell me that the driver was actually coming, he just said he had found a driver. When I declined the pick up, Max got angry at me, saying he told me in advance that the driver was coming. I then resent the email he sent me and said there was nothing in that email that said a driver was picking my car up a week before scheduled.

Then he stopped replying to my messages but keep scheduling drivers for me. I declined all of them because they were well before my scheduled pick up date. Max got the hint and stopped scheduling drivers for me but then he missed my preferred date by a long shot and got a driver for me a week AFTER the scheduled date that I paid extra for.

Terrible communication, terrible customer service, and false advertising. Don't be duped into paying extra for an exact date. This guy has no clue what he's doing and lies and cheats to keep his business afloat.

This is a "shady ass" business no matter who one might use, lots like talking to a pimp. Always "somebody else" done it. SBS, Max, or whatever is rough around the edges, Sherry, is sweet and polite but in the end, it's "bad cop, good cop". The transport company that did the transport was not as timely as SBS stated. SBS is like the imam promising 72 virgins, but the transport went well and the driver was courteous and kept me informed. Dealing with SBS is akin to a grand mal seizure, sure feels good when the foam at the mouth and violent muscular contractions stop.

Definitely the worst auto transport experience I've had. I scheduled a driver with Max, to pick up my 2 vehicles. The truck driver showed up 3 hours late, which caused me to have to reschedule my plans. Additionally, the driver damaged one of my vehicles during loading. I will never do business with SBS Transporters gain.

I contacted Gilles about having a very primo Toyota 4-Runner shipped from Florida to Colorado - enclosed. Gilles made sure I really thought it was worth the extra expense of enclosed vs. open before we set up the contract. He also asked good questions - yes, it has a modified suspension, no, the height wasn't extreme and it has standard size tires. Gilles made the process and payment clear, and there weren't any surprises - thank you! And the company State 2 State brokered the transport with, Emerald Auto Express, was excellent too, which reflects well on State 2 State. I see complaints on Yelp that seem hard to believe based on the attention I received. I definitely recommend State 2 State.

Chose Max because he offered a guaranteed time with his own trucks, and claims he's not a broker. He was very responsive in arranging the shipment and all, but once the car was picked up, never responded anymore.

He lied about not being a broker, and He actually doesn't own any trucks. I even came across notes where he told the trucking company to tell me he wasn't a broker, but pay him a broker fee once they get the money. Overall my car arrived safely, but I definitely wont do business with them again

DONT DO IT!!! Terrible service! The initially contact to obtain my business was good but after I paid, never heard from them again. Car was picked up late, almost 2 weeks in transit and no one ever called or returned my calls. Bad...poor customer service!

I recently hired these guys for shipping my car from California to Birmingham. Initially, Gilles Gener used to call me when I requested free online quote and later on he disappeared once I paid them the money and didn't answer my phone calls. Nicole LaNeve was then in touch with me. One thing in general surprises me that all of these brokers while speaking to customers tells them that they have career available, however, after booking with them, you would come to know that they don't and there may be a wait time.

Coming back to my experience, they assigned the career within 2 days which was good. Also reduced the original deposit charge from $150 to $100. They told me that because of memorial day weekend, not many careers are available at that time. My car was picked up 2nd day from the start date I provided them.

Instead of estimated 7 days, the career took 15 days because their truck broke in Arizona. I don't blame them for this thing but still I was expecting them to inform me about the incident on Thursday when I was waiting for my car to arrive in the evening. My career told me that they thought broker might have told me and when I asked broker (Nicole), she told me that it's the responsibility of career. The blame game started.

Nicole was nice in responding my emails for 70% of the time but later on when I started asking questions regarding insurance and other things, I noticed a delay in response and less interest towards answering my questions.

Later on, I was inquiring about the insurance coverage, Nicole told me that the career has $250K coverage for all the cars which was true as per the insurance document. The Bill of Lading I signed with the career mentioned that there will be $200 deductible in case of damages and they will cover only $15k max cost. Above that my insurance company will have to bear the cost. When I asked Nicole about this, she told me to contact the career only. Looks like they don't care what their bill of lading says . In the end, I had to pay the original price to the truck driver which was $795 and the carrier (USB Freight) was not even interested in reducing a single penny despite getting late 1 week. Again, Nicole was helpless when I asked her to interfere in this matter. So eventually I ended up paying around $1200 and 15 days wait time for my car shipping including the cost of rental car I had to bear at my destination.

My car arrived in perfect condition but in case I would have to go through any damage related issues, I can imagine how difficult it would have been for me to get answers from these people.

I booked a car to be carried with a reputable company and on the load board for a few days with a decent rate. This company keeps calling me everyday. Eventually, because I was stupid enough I answered: the biggest mistake! The guy(his fake name is Max Seymour) sounds cool and tells me that first of all he is not a broker and I should never work with brokers, he is a direct car carrier and he will send me pictures with his trucks, so I can see his company name on the doors and see that he owns the trucks(we've never gotten there, I was not interested). Then he tells me that he can give me a quote if I give him the point of pick up and delivery. I explained to him from the beginning that I'm working with another company, but he's constantly talking about how the brokers are bad just to get your business and my load its on the board and uncovered yet. I told him that I'm not giving him any more information until I checked with my current company to see if they are still able to give me a carrier. I SPECCIALY TOLD HIM THAT WE DO NOT HAVE ANY AGREEMENT, I DIDNT GIVE HIM MY FULL NAME, ADDRESS, THE VIN # HE ASKED FOR, NOR I SIGN WITH HIM ANY CONTRACT OR GIVE HIM ANY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION, THEY DONT EVEN HAVE MY EMAIL ADDRESS OR MY LAST NAME ON THE RECORD!!!
The very next day I talked to the other company and they had already covered the load and send the carrier to pick up my car. I have all the info for the carrier and I was just waiting to get the confirmation that the car has been picked up.
Now the problems started: once at the dealer, my driver tells me that another driver is picking up my car! I was thrilled! I didn't have any contract or agreement with another broker, nor I paid any deposit or have any other quote from any carrier! I called the dealer and he gave some thin information about a carrier that picked up my car, document that didn't have any broker on the record, no fee on the paper, they couldn't provide to much information, no VIN number. My broker is calling me and I don't know what is going on. I called my lawyer(he is a great guy) and he explained me that if somebody take my property without my consent or at least without me being aware of it is called "stealing", so I'll go ahead and go to civil court. State2State doesn't have any consent or agreement with me, no quote, for God sake not even the necessary information to get the car. After 2 hours of research, the carrier called me and he told me that he expected me to pay a much bigger amount of money(that the one I have with me broker) at delivery! I told the carrier to return my car to the dealer and he told me that somebody has to pay him for all the hassle?! I don't even have an idea who sent this carrier to pick up this car, which as it is at this moment has a status of "being stolen". And after all, the State by State hasn't being calling me!!! Its been hours that the car is missing and they haven't contacted me!!! We called the dealer told him we need the money back and we won't ever work with none of these crooks. As I'm writing this review- along with more other complains, including the BBB, they State by State haven't at least call us to inform us about this "stolen car". Anyway, the best right now is to file a complain with the police and raise our voices, so future innocent people wont be trapped with these unethical type of so called business. They lied to me from the beginning: they told me they are not brokers, and that is just what they are! Please, everybody out there, if you hear the name of State By UnState hang up, or they will take your car illegally, and only God knows what is next. Thanks for reading and feel free to contact me with any questions.

God bless you all!

worst service ever!!! non educated people running business!!!! do not give this company business!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where do I start. Well i can start with stay away from this BROKER! You will be lied to, and stolen from.

At first, i thought Max sounded like a cool guy, trying to help me out. He directly advised me that he was not a broker, but was with the trucking company. He even went out of his way to text me pictures of "him" and his truck loaded up with cars. He even said and i quote,"call me if you want to book directly."

I provided max with my debit card info to hold my spot on the truck, he then sent me a form to fill out and sign, which i never did.

After reading up on his reviews, and finding mostly negative reviews, i let him know that i was not going to be working with him and canceled.

So this morning the actual trucking company shows up to my house! Since i was not home, my wife had to be bothered to tell them that i had canceled. So they called me and i told them that i had canceled and apologized for the inconvenience. Thats right, i had to apologize on Max's behalf, because i felt bad that they wasted their time and gas to come to my house.

Then Max has the audacity, to tell me that i am still going to be charged the $100 that i "agreed" to pay. He advised that some other company was charging me, nationwide. BS, i never gave them my info.

I never authorized the charges, and will be fighting them with my CC.

Max, your a bad business man, and you live up to all of these bad reviews. If you wouldnt lie to your prospects, maybe you wouldnt be in such a bad place.

Very unprofessional is the word to describe them. I had to transport my car from Florida to California. Initially they said 5 days with a max of 7 days. However I received my car on the 12th day from the date of pick up. Not only that, I had initially cleared it up with them that they would allow upto 100 pounds in the trunk but the driver asked for $100 and came down to $50. I still did not pay a single penny above my contract but this led to a heated argument for about an hour with the driver.
Please be aware State by state does not communicate well with their drivers. And unfortunately the driver that I had to deal with was from ALL STATE AUTO LOGISTIC company. Extremely rude person and he would only try to get more money out of you. The contract clearly stated that I had to pay $900 to the carrier and $100 was the deposit. But the driver kept insisting me for additional $50 for the stuff in the trunk of my car though it was already cleared up with them before pickup. The driver from ALL STATE AUTO LOGISTIC is not a man of his words and would try to fool you by getting more money out of you. Be very careful with this guy. If you plan to use State by State transporters be very clear with the contract and ask them who would be transporting your vehicle If they say ALL STATE AUTO LOGISTIC it is best to avoid them

Zhayla R. Aug 6, 2015

Very unprofessional and will give an attitude if you don't give them your money. They called asking if I was looking for transport and I said yes but I explained to them I'm trying to get the best price I can since I'm going to college and paying for this myself. They told me a bunch of lies because my dad is a trucker and knows a lot and has told me a lot. Then I let them continue to talk and I just kept saying mhm and okay and the guy said "Okay well I'm obviously not getting through to you" and just hung up. WORST SERVICE EVER!!! DO NOT GO TO THEM

John R. Jul 4, 2014

If I could give them a minus number I would. A bunch of lying crooks. They had me sign a contract, told me they had their own drivers (I found out otherwise) and basically never returned a call or followed through with anything. Crooks!! Stay away from these crooks.
