Tempus Logix
Customer Reviews
I paid a premium total of $1,800 (nearly double the standard quote) specifically to secure a "Guaranteed Delivery" date related to a family vacation. The broker, Tempus Logix, confirmed the guarantee
Had a Ram truck moved from Texas to SoCal, and I sure was glad to use Tempus Logix Transport as the broker. Antony was the most polite and pleasant shipper I have worked with. They are a broker service that connects customers with various car transporters that they have vetted and trusted. Communication was excellent throughout the process, from scheduling, to who would be transporting our car, to when the car would be delivered, to how to pay. They were able to get my car delivered 3 days earlier than expected--and communicated with me to confirm that this would be okay. The door-to-door service was so convenient, and our car arrived in perfect shape. The price was the most competitive and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

Starting this review with a note that the "customer service" agent Michael A. at Tempest Logix emailed me "If you choose to leave a negative review based on this incident, we believe it would be considered one of the most unfair negative ratings we have ever received." Let's talk about what is unfair...BEWARE ... It seems if there is any sort of dispute they ARE GOING TO SIDE WITH THE DRIVER (EVEN IF THE DRIVER HAS BREACHED HIS CONTRACT).
This was the 2nd time I used Tempus Logix to ship my car and this recent experience was horrible. My car was shipped on 5/27 with an estimated delivery time of 6/7.
I have an App that tracks my Lexus, so I could see that the car arrived in Springfield, MA (approx. 30 minutes from its final destination) on Friday, June 2nd. I understand that according to my contract, the car was not expected to arrive until June 7th, but I contacted the driver on Saturday(6/3) to see if I could expect it sooner.
I received a call back at 12pm PT on Saturday (whom I assumed was someone from Tempus Logix) and was told they were sorry, but the driver could not deliver the car on Saturday, but that the car would be delivered on Monday (6/5).
We had to pay someone to wait at the house on Monday for the car (due to work conflicts). Meanwhile, we could see on the app that the car was taken from Springfield to Boston and back on Monday (about 200 miles round-trip in the opposite direction from its final destination), with indications on my App that the car had been moved multiple times during this process since we had gotten notifications that the doors had been opened and closed multiple times during its trip to Boston and back.
It is now Tuesday and we have not heard a thing from Tempus Logix. I called at 9:03am to check on the progress of the car (which I can see is back in Springfield, MA). I was told they were going to get ahold of the driver and let me know the status. Without getting into too much detail, several back-and-forth calls later we were told the car would arrive on Wednesday (6/7) between 12pm-1pm.
Again, we had to pay someone to stay at the house and wait for the car. Well, the car did not arrive between 12pm and 1pm. So, we called and were told it would be there between 2-4pm. It did not show up during that time, so we were told it would be there between 7-8 pm. When it did not arrive during that time, we were told it would be there between 8-9pm. The car finally arrived at 9:30pm.
My complaints went in circles with Michael A. "Customer Service" at Tempus Logix, who said at one point that it was a breach of contract for the driver to deliver the car after work hours. Then later I was told, "The thing is that we can not ask for compensation from the carrier for this, because they delivered during the day they promised." REALLY?!
Tempus Logix offered me $100 credit toward another transport - ARE YOU KDDING ME? I WILL NEVER USE Tempus Logix again to transport my car!
I had a wonderful experience working with this company. Angela was my main contact and she was knowledgeable, courteous and very good at contacting me with the move of my 2010 Honda CRV from Indiana to Texas. Very pleased!!!
I have shipped 20+ personal vehicles from coast to coast over the past 10 years. Not only did Tempus Logix provide the best price (which has been a curse in the past working with other brokers as I have gone through "bait & switch" on pricing multiple times) but every part of the plan worked exactly as promised. Communication was clear and constant. The driver was polite, professional, and efficient both at pick up and drop off (Denver to Tacoma). I have had terrible experiences with other brokers, that was NOT the case with Tempus. Nicole and Catherine were a pleasure to work with.
DONT BOOK! These people do not do good business, has horrible communication and failed to get my car shipped! I booked 2 months in advance, paid a deposit and had 3 failed pickup attempts. 2 of those "scheduled pickups" I had to scramble to get other people to wait hours for the driver FOR NOTHING! Doing business with these ppl was a mistake and cost me an additional $700. And they pay ppl to remove the bad reviews just to make them look good. They're a FRAUD!
elivered a brand new car from dealership in NY to FL. They were accommodating when our pickup date needed to change. Would book with again.
Updating my review.
Just as other people have posted, a manager called me to tell me how the driver company was the problem and how they were offering me $100 discount on my next shipment.
As I told the manager I paid $2000 and this is the first time I have ever shipped cars in 34 years. What am I going to do with a 5% discount for my next purchase? Also, why would I give you a better review for a bad initial service and a 5% discount to come back for another round of bad service?! You are a customer service company who is not working to provide a better service to the customer.
Was a week late... kept promising and stringing me along. Go with a better company, not the lowest bidder
The absolute worst shipping company ever!!!! They lie about there satisfaction!! They hire the worst scab shipping companies in our country and charge a lot for it. I still don't have my keys to my truck!! Then they had the odasitty to post a picture of my truck with a phase "another satisfied customer!! BS!! I'm am not a satisfied customer and many many more are not with this company. They LIE LIE LIE that they were number one last year. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CARELESS USELESS COMPANY!!!! 8/20/21
Delivered my car on time. That's it. Car front end was smashed, side skirt damaged. Driver took car for joy ride, both white seats and ENTIRE interior covered with grease. Get someone else ---- EDIT: TO THE BUSINESS OWNER: If you think the car arriving on time, but smashed and all fucked up requiring multiple weeks of repairs and my time is of any value whatsoever you are living in another dimension.
Lead time stated was 5 days from first available date and waited over three weeks from the time it was booked to it actually being assigned. Was originally quoted an additional $2-300 over the phone and was charged $500 more just to get my car shipped. At this point now that it has been over three weeks, I just want my vehicle. This company has a lot of communication issues. No matter if you call or email, you will just get the standard we working on it and we will give you an update ASAP. If you need your car shipped and price transparency, just stay away from Tempus Logix as pick up time frame and price quote is not a matter of priority but just a mere suggestion since they have all the time in the world to work on it. If you need your car shipped, maybe consider a larger company like Road Runner if you need it pick up within a reasonable timeframe and actual price transparency.
Update: Was contacted by a customer service representative and by the tone of their voice it seemed they were more angry than I was. As someone who is calling people to try to resolve an issue, I think a calmer tone of voice and empathy should be used. I was never communicated that more time was needed to locate a driver or another driver at that. I was the proactive one reaching out each time to get a sense of scheduling so being communicated that more time was needed is false. In my email I did state I was going to cancel if you cannot fulfill my order and communicated over the phone if you cannot get it done after weeks of waiting I will cancel. It was not until then I was actually assigned a carrier. Overall the customer service representative offered $150 on my next shipment to take this down but who would use their service again. They then counter offered with refunding me $100 to take this review down which would be disingenuous. I didn't even bring up the fact that over the phone I was quoted $492 additional for transport cost and was sent an invoice for $500. Good job on cheating me out of my money and that additional $8.
Do yourself a favor and don't use this company. They don't communicate well at all. I understand a business being busy, but not too busy to keep your customers in the know about their shipment. 0/10, wouldn't recommend.
Unfortunately, I had a truly horrible experience with Tempus Logix attempting to ship my car from SF to Boston. Tl;dr is that they failed at every piece of the process, were very challenging to communicate with, lied multiple times, and ended up simply telling me to cancel the order as they couldn't get the job done.
I know this is a challenging industry so I have some sympathy, but the lack of communication was a huge problem and overall the process was the worst experience I've ever had with a shipping company of any type. Zero things went well, and everything went horribly.
Scheduling and the month before:
-On 2/22, I booked a pickup with Tempus Logix and agreed to pay $300 extra for a "Guaranteed Pickup" date. The guaranteed pickup date was 3/23. I needed this because I was leaving town on the 24th which I explained in the initial call. I left this call feeling good about having a guaranteed day.
-On 3/1 I reached out just to check in and was told I'd hear closer to pickup.
-On 3/18 (5 days to pickup) I reached out to check in and was told I'd hear exact details between the 19th and 22nd.
-I received no contact on the 19th, 20th, 21st, or 22nd, so I reached out on the night of the 22nd as it was now 1 day away and they had failed to contact me despite promising to. I got no response that night.
-We're now 0/1 on promises. This becomes a theme.
Now it's pickup day, 3/23:
-Reminder: I paid $300 extra for a guaranteed pickup, and scheduled it a full month in advance for this day. They failed to contact me beforehand, but I still was optimistic about the car being picked up.
-This AM, I got an email reply saying they were working on it and would let me know ASAP.
-I heard nothing all day via email, phone or other. We're now 0/2 on promises as they literally did not reach out at any point during the day.
-I called at 5pm and was told that the pickup was delayed by 1 day, to 3/24. We're now 0/3 on promises as the 'guaranteed' pickup day came and went.
-This was a huge mess as I had never been told this before and was flying out of town on 3/24. Now after 5pm, I scrambled to find a place to leave the car and a person to look after it. This was a friend in town who had street parking nearby. He agreed to help handle the pickup the next day on short notice. We were promised the car would be picked up the next day.
-3/24: I fly from SF to Boston - I am now 3,000 miles away.
-The car does not get picked up. There was no proactive outreach - my friend and I had to each call Tempus to get the update that it wouldn't happen. We're now 0/4 on promises, and my friend has to move the car every 2 hours to avoid a ticket.
-We were now promised it would happen on 3/25, the next day.
-3/25: Pickup did not happen. We're now 0/5 on promises with no end in sight. My friend has to leave town for the weekend and there's no backup to the backup, so we're kind of screwed.
-Same as before, we heard nothing and had to call Tempus ourselves. When I called they basically said "yeah, we failed, you should cancel the order".
So I cancelled the order and was refunded my deposit (yay). At this point, I had to schedule a different moving company (Montway, who picked up the car the next week). My friend had to drive the car 50 miles to a new pickup location (a friend's driveway in the suburbs) since we couldn't simply leave our car in the city.
Throughout the entire process I always had to reach out to Tempus. They never reached out to give me updates. Even as things were totally falling apart, this was constant. I always had to call them, email them, and ask them the questions. There were never any apologies, sympathy or help given. It was just a rinse-repeat of them failing to get the car, promising a new day, and then failing to deliver on that, until the end. They failed on every single piece of the process and it seemed like it was just business as usual every time I spoke with a rep.
I have never experienced customer service, or just actual service, this bad across my 5+ moves including shipping my possessions and my car. This was the most stressful interaction I've ever had with a company and they did nothing to help alleviate that during the entire process. The fact that it ended with Tempus simply recommending a cancellation instead of helping solve the problem was just the cherry on top.
Disclaimer again that I know this industry is challenging, but this was insanely bad.
I would recommend Montway based on my experience after this fell apart and I would certainly not recommend Tempus.
UPDATE: a quality manager called me. They:
-Acknowledged that everything I said was true, and apologized sincerely, which I appreciated. This was a nice gesture.
-Offered me $100 off my next booking, which I will not use.
-Asked me to change my review to 4 or 5 stars. I am not comfortable with this.
-I appreciated them reaching out to apologize, but asking to change the review would be completely disingenuous on my part.
The reviews I read for this company are absolutely amazing. That's why I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I have received and delay in transportation . I was guaranteed calls back to follow up on my car . I have never once received a call back . I was told I would receive my car back within 5 days . I was in those five days promised the car would be on the truck everyday . Now , I am going on seven days and they told me the truck it is going on is broken so now there's concerns they are putting my car on a truck that is not in proper working condition . I would recommend any other company over this . You could even pay less money than this and get a better company . Don't use this company whatever you do !
the car took longer than the time frame they guaranteed . they kept saying oh the truck its going to be on is broken which isn't reassuring at all knowing my car was going to be on a broken truck .
Quite went up 30 percent in days. First one expired and I had not won the ebay bid....answer was shady "oh ya we might have had a driver in the area" so that means the driver slept in the truck for 10 days and suddenly left when I resubmitted the quote....
This trucking company delivered a car to my house from Washington State. They delayed a couple times. The car upon delivery had codes showing on the dashboard. The driver was friendly, but the company itself just a poor aggregator on top of individually owned trucks, without much value add.
They did not respond to me. No one in the car's history has claimed responsibility for the problem, so I'm giving onestar to them all.
I called the company to see what the cost would be and if there was any hidden fees so I can have an idea of a total price I'd be paying to get a Golf R 2019 shipped from TX. The guy I spoke to told me I'd be paying $700 something. When I checked their site it said $495. Not sure how trustworthy these shippers are.
I was new to the car shipping process and reached out to Tempus for a quote on shipping my car. They came in competitive with the other shippers. However, when setting up my release date I was given miss information on how the shipment is setup. This cause my car to be two days late from its original last day of arrival (I had give them roughly a 2 week window to pick up/deliver). Then on top of that the truck broke down and cause the shipment to be another two days late.
Tempus did not give me correct guidance the way I setup my quote after repeatedly calling them when setting it up.
When I explained this situation to them they had no interest in giving me a discount to make this situation right when it was clearly their fault.
Classic bait and switch. Found out about them on uship. Reached out to them on a Frida evening, spoke to a gentleman that quoted me $1500 for open trailer shipping on 2 vehicles. He stated that the person that was going to push the order thru would be available in the morning and that I would get an email Saturday morning on how to book. He reassured me that this would be done, no problem and that he had all my info. Fast forward to Monday, I called them asking about the email I was promised, long behold, nothing was saved and no one knew who I was. I had advised that I was quoted $1500 and the gentleman I spoke with said his manager would be in the morning and I would get a quote emailed and that he may even be able to get me a better rate. Tuesday morning arrives and FINALLY after 4 days I get an email only to be disappointed. They had increased the rate to $1650 and stated they could not honor the already quoted price.
I will take my business elsewhere. Buyer beware.
