Transport Premier Services
Customer Reviews
these guys charged me $75 for a phone call. rude customer service. would not recommend. terrible people
Recently used their services to ship a car from California to Ohio. This was set up by a very large Mercedes dealer who has used this company in the past Shipped starting Wednesday evening Pacific coast time and was delivered late following Monday. The delivery truck had 9 other cars and considering the stops along the way and some weather issues, this was pretty good. Here is the bad. First their 888 # on their website has been disconnected. Second the email in trying to reach anyone doesn't exist. Third they provide no tracking information and getting a status is impossible. Fourth, car was delivered at 930 PM ET and inspected the car at night is really hard. Drove 10 miles and tire has a hole in it due to the delivery person apparently hit something while backing it out. Now I need to spend 1k on two rear tires for damage caused by their shipping company.
We are moving from L.A. to San Jose and we needed to ship our old 1992 300e which we were not sure would make the long trip. TPS gave us a reasonable quote and Bryan Evans was very helpful and fast in responding our emails. It was a quick and easy transaction, no haggling.
The car was shipped the next day after we paid the invoice and was delivered the following day at the driveway of our new home as promised.
The driver showed up early and was very professional and careful with our car. The driver parked the car on the driveway and left the key in the mailbox as was instructed. Lots of pictures were taken before and after the car was shipped.
Great service Bryan Evans and TPS.
I am pretty convinced that these positive reviews were written by friends and family of the owners. I have had nothing but a bad experience and it continues to be so as am still waiting on my car, calling Bobby and Dave repeatedly with no answer or call back for days now.
I want to be clear I believed I was hiring Allied Moving, I dropped it at an Allied lot, with an Allied employee. It was not until I was on the road to my new home cross country (I was two states away at the time) and payment was demanded that I was told this was third party. So I had no choice in the matter.
I dropped it on June 30th and had a 7 to 10 day window of drop off. It is now July 16th. On July 14th my husband called to see what the situation was and when to expect the delivery. He was told by Dave that "no one wants to pick up your car" which was confusing at the time as they are an AUTO TRANSPORT COMPANY, but a statement that now seems pretty clear as they don't pay out people who transport for them, based on reviews I have now seen.
I have resorted to calling Allied and having them ATTEMPT to get a hold of these two as I have paid in full, have no idea where my car is, if it has even moved locations, if it is still even known where it is or when, if ever, it will get here.
Right at this moment it seems like my car has been stolen and I have been duped out of quite a lot of money, much more than other companies were charging. My advice so far is STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, that is if you care at all about receiving your car or even knowing where it is.
So to reiterate: Dropped my car at an Allied lot on June 30th, paid in full, was given a 7-10 day window of delivery, it is July 16th and still no car. Called Bobby and Dave MULTIPLE times with no response or call back.
Should this change I would be happy to update this review, however I am not exactly optimistic at this moment and will be looking into legal recourse should this continue.
They hired us to move their customers vehicles. They never paid us for the services yet they charged the customers the money. This is stealing plain and simple. Please find a more reputable broker, there are plenty out there.
We are an auto carrier! Transport Premier Services has not paid us since last October 2020. We have been lied multiple times about payment status. We gave them multiple chances to come thru, but just empty promises. Finally, we submitted a bond claim! DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!
I don't recommend working with TPS. Moving is one of the most stressful things you can go through, and TPS made that experience exponentially more stressful.
We were recommended to TPS by Bekins, our movers. Dave was excellent when we first set up the shipment. He was super responsive and a great guy to talk to. Bobby was also good to deal with at first. I'm only giving them 2 stars because everything started out fantastically. The major issue happened when it came time to actually pick up the cars.
We set up the transport one month before leaving San Diego. They took the payment in full at that time.
In the days leading up to the pickup date, we hadn't heard from TPS. The day before my two-day delivery window, I called and emailed to finalize when the cars would be picked up. 2 of the 3 phone numbers listed on their website and emails didn't work - one was a full voicemail, the other just was a dead line. That was terrifying, I felt like they took my money and ran. I did not hear back from them for the entire day.
Bobby didn't return my call or email until later that night. When he finally called me back, it seemed that he had not organized the pickup at all whatsoever. He was scrambling to find someone to get the cars -- Day 1 of the pickup window was definitely not going to happen, and Day 2 (the day we left San Diego) was not confirmed whatsoever.
We ended up cancelling the transportation and frantically finding another shipper that cost me almost 1.5x the cost. That other company did the job perfectly, thankfully. I suppose I can also give TPS credit for refunding our money in full in a timely manner.
Our reps at Bekins told me that they had worked with TPS several times in the past and this issue had not happened before. Maybe that's true, I don't know. If so, it sucks being the "one time" everything goes terrifyingly wrong. If this IS normal for them, then I would never want someone to go through this themselves.
If you choose to use TPS, make sure they lock in an exact transporter and transportation window, and make sure you get in touch with them yourself in the week and days leading up, in case they need a reminder that you gave them thousands of dollars to move your cars across the country.
Very, very expensive. Very, very unreliable. Our pickup was set for a Saturday morning -- driver never called, never answered the phone, never showed up. Company scrambled and picked up the car on Monday -- so we are already two days off schedule. No communication while car is transported across country. Got a text from Bobby that car would be delivered Thursday -- finally arrived Saturday. This auto transport business seems to be filed with snake-oil salesmen, but I would urge folks to find someone better than Transport Premier.
