Linda Richards in nothing short of a lying, conniving, unprofessional, rude, incompetent arrogant b!tch!!! TRUST ME DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY TO SHIP ANYTHING!!!! MY PICTURES ARE PROOF! My BMW was in pristine condition prior to shipping it with this sh!t company!!! Needless to say Linda shipped my car to CO with damages around THE ENTIRE VEHICLE (rims, front, back, side, roof, etc). IDK WTF they were doing with my BMW but it looked like it went through WWII!!! Moreover she estimated me delivery by 5/5-5/8 on 5/11!!!!!!! Mind you I called this fckn b!tch every fckn day since 5/5 to track my vehicle and ask the status of it!!! She was well aware of our situation, which I explained to her AT LEAST 4 times and stressed the urgency of receiving the vehicle ON TIME OR WITHIN her "estimated delivery". She is so fckn incompetent she could not 1) answer her fckn phone or respond to emails, 2) return my phone calls 3) give me the TRUTH about the whereabouts on my BMW 4) speak to me AND my mother in a professional and courteous tone. The car was already 3 days late and on that date she tells me the driver picked up the car late and it didn't leave on time. So you couldn't tell me this BEFORE???? Instead you act like your hands are tied behind your back and pretend like you are completely clueless as to the whereabouts on my BMW!? I believe this b!tch lied because the company she subcontracted my vehicle to (which she failed to mention she would be subcontracting and to whom) does not appear to be a legitimate business (tried researching them with CO police and could find hardly any information and not even sure if it is true information). When I called Linda to tell her about the damages and my situation with the driver she did not even answer her phone (of course) and when I finally spoke to her 3 days LATER when she FINALLY decides to give me a call back, she was nothing short of dismissive, arrogant, and fckn rude! She tells me in a very cocky tone that the damages made to my BMW were "light and minor scratches". I told her the fckn side fender is completely smashed in like a car fell on it!!! I told her these are not "light damages" and they are estimated AT LEAST 5K in damages!!! This b!tch has the audacity to tell me that she has a Lexus that she paid 60K for and she knows all about cars and how much it costs to fix it and my car won't cost that much to fix. Okay, I don't know the relevance of you stating you have a Lexus that you paid 60K for except that you are trying to make yourself feel superior to me. Not only was the way this b!tch spoke to me short, rude, and unprofessional, but the way she spoke to my mother, who was nothing but polite and professional to her, was nothing but cocky and unprofessional!!!! Anyone FROM Hawaii knows how infuriating this is! You do not speak to your elders with disrespect like this, especially someones parent!!! SHOW SOME FCKN RESPECT YOU ARROGANT HAOLE! I HOPE THIS B!TCH LOST HER JOB AND ALL HER ASSETS BY NOW!!!! remember karmas a b!tch like you Linda, coward b!tch!
ALSO WOULDN'T DOUBT THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE FAKE! EITHER COMPLETED BY THE COMPANY AND IT'S EMPLOYEES THEMSELVES OR THEIR FRIENDS! WHY ARE THERE NO PICS AND SUCH SHORT REVIEWS WITH NO DETAILS? HMM. .THINK before using this company!

KARMA'S A BITCH REMEMBER THAT! When something worse than this happens to you I hope you remember how you thought this post was funny and think of me having the last laugh and enjoying every second of the pain you truly deserve!***
After contact through the Better Business Bureau the rudeness continued from the company. Their response was condescending, unprofessional, full of implications and insinuations that we the customer were responsible for the damages, and all around unapologetic for the behavior of both their own employees and the behavior of the subcontracted employees. Their claims to have the subcontractor pay our insurance were completely unfulfilled and never occurred. Unfortunately, because we live so far away they are going to get away with this because we cannot afford to pursue litigation, which our counsel advised us was justified, albeit a bit unfairly skewed for us in the finance department. Please do not use this company they will damage your vehicle and get away with their snarky, unprofessional responses because they have no true oversight.
I am editing to add that this company sent a letter filled with spelling and grammatical errors that began with a non-apology and several incorrect examples of why we the customer we wrong about the whole situation. The company went on to claim we had been paid by the subcontracted company, which is untrue because no compensation for damages was ever received. The letter ended with threats to sue us for posting poor reviews online of the company. No further communication by this company has been received since the letter sent shortly after the first updated review in early July.
I had to ship a car to Hawaii. It started out good, but then hit a small hiccup. I was on a deadline and I THOUGHT Linda Richards did not follow through on her promise of an emailed invoice. I even left a "not so pleasant" I won't be doing business with you VM. However, the next morning I received a call from her and she explained that she actually did send it but it didn't get to me. She then kicked it into high gear and in less than 8 hours, I had the whole thing done and at the Port of Seattle ready to be shipped.
Unlike Kathy G, my communication with Linda was the same excellent service after the fact. I needed more info and proof of shipping, which she happily provided, even though it meant extra work for her and her billing department.
Thank you Linda, and if you need to send something to Hawaii, give them a call.
I went to them only because Matson said they do a lot of business with them when I asked their advise.
I initially spoke to Linda and felt she knew what she was talking about even though she seemed a bit sharp on the phone.
In the beginning before I booked it with them I felt the communication was good.
Then after we booked and paid (you have to pay all up front.) I felt differently. I was
not happy with Linda. I asked her a question three times in email, even pointing out
in the third email that I keep asking the same question and she still would NOT answer. As soon as the car was dropped off with Matson and I emailed her she NEVER responded to me again. I felt like they got what they wanted and did not need to communicate further.
I did speak once to Zoe on the phone (in the beginning) and found her to be professional and she followed through on what she said she would do for me.
The bottom line for me was that the car arrived undamaged.
I would NEVER use them again nor any middle man as they are just that.
Worst communication ever. Used this company to send my car to Hawaii from the mainland and not only was my car damaged, but they are horrible at following up with emails. I would not go with this company ever again.
How do you like this from the reply to my BBB complaint - they don't have to carry insurance on your vehicle because
"We are freight forwarder and by law we do not have to carry car insurance on freight we do not transport ourselves."
Great. And so if the subcontractors deny responsibility, you will be SOL. Contract directly with Matson. We moved our truck with them and they drilled a hole thru the tire (blocking) but owned up to it. Of course we had to drive from Seattle to Portland to get that particular tire but they did pay for it.
Then again, maybe the damage to my car was from the land transporter. I just did not want to drive a 1989 Mercedes roadster cross country. But if the trucker swears they picked it up damaged and denies responsibility, again, you will be SOL.
Avoid this company
So far I am unimpressed and quite nervous about my car (aka, my 2yr old baby). But I will update this when my car is actually delivered in case my "experience" changes.
So far it took 3 iterations of the invoice to get the ship to and invoice address correct (the correct state in one case), many emails to get clarification on needed paperwork, after telling me they wouldn't take it until it was paid in full, they called me up wanting to take it (even after me asking if the invoice had been paid (company move) and they said no, but that's okay we can start it shipping) and then when it got half way (California - the move is from Hawaii to Massachusetts) they announce they won't deliver it until the invoice is paid (erm, aren't you supposed to disclose that before people give you their most expensive possessions??), and now they want me to pay for storage until the payment is processed by my company. So in the middle of an already stressful move i'm having to try and get my new company to expedite payment (not the best way to move into a new job), have no idea what is happening to my car and on top of that am having TAS trying to turn it around and blame me for not telling them how long the invoice would take to pay (seriously?? How should I know, and if they'd asked or mentioned the "no delivery" thing, i would have darn well found out before dropping the baby in their hands!).
The people there seem nice, and certainly in the booking process I was initially impressed (much more so than other companies i'd asked for quotes from who were slow and uninterested - TAS seemed to want your business and want to be helpful), but there are some flaws in procedure or something going on, but either way, you should never not disclose something so major to someone until after you've taken possession of their car, and then to try and blame the customer....??
All in all, extremely stressful to date. I'll update when the car makes it as to what the rest of its journey goes like....
