Western Express

A driver from Western Express hit my legally parked semi. Western Express are jacking me around despite me having the dash cam and police report showing they are 100 percent at fault. The driver also admitted it. The driver hit my semi in a truck stop. He was preoccupied and talking to a passenger in his truck. He was not even looking at where he was driving. His trailer caused 13k in damage. western Express is ghosting me. They were 100 percent at fault. I had to file with my own insurance and have my insurance co sue western Express! They are a very bad company. I have talked to many other drivers and they were ghosted as well. They self insure where most trucking companies pay 10k-20k per truck per year. If we have to file on our own insurance our policy increases. They have poor business practices and hire truckers that are not adequately experienced in driving.

Worked there for 4 months. Never had an issue. I worked hard and never was late for deliveries. And sometimes even early on pick ups and also deliveries. I went home for home time and someone stole my trailer. The company decided to fire me for that reason. 2 weeks later the trailer was found and they called me to offer my job back. It was like a slap in the face. They pay like complete garbage and I don't recommend this job/company to anyone.

Then if you break down they do not supply you with emergency triangles but tell you to put them out if you break down. How?

WTF.. so now you can not get hired at another carrier until the contract is up or your year is up. Do not let them fool you. Dispatch is the true definition of IDIOCRACY. They're Indubitably, INCOMPETENT. They're the so called managers and not one of them is intelligent in any way. Everyone of those idiots lack communication skills, common sense, and consideration for the fact that it's miles that get the drivers paid. They'll have you sitting on a load for days or, with no load at all. Dispatch has absolutely no written or verbal communication skills. They either won't reply to calls & messages. Or they'll reply extremely late. Like weeks late. They need to quickly replace them with A.I. because at least A.I. is artificial intelligence. Those dispatchers s have no intelligence "PERIOD". They don't deserve any stars because they are a bunch of ZEROS Western Sucks especially dispatch "management" is just dumb AF real idiotic. By the way, the LP program is ripoff too.

I was in an accident 24th of March 2023 due to road failure as it says in the accident report by the state trooper and witnesses. Chadwick lied on the Missouri State Trooper Zachary Chastain he said, the trooper reported I was at fault. You are more than welcome to see for yourself. well for solo drivers even though this company is in the middle of the most disrespectful secret that poor team drivers don't even know because most employees believe the lie they are told after asking staff for a week straight what you are paid they tell you .27 per mile as a team driver. not sure what lie they tell solo drivers but pay attention an notice back in 2020 western never paid required minimum wage for on duty hours an solo drivers averaged 650 a week on good weeks. less than 2000 for 3 weeks of straight work. now i promise this is the truth. an as soon as i figured it out which i cleared 850$ for one week a total of 1036 miles....obviously i now know why driving teams an driving solo pay stub only showed a hourly salary as far as how they came up wit weekly pay. team drivers will get 200$ extra bonus per check for touchin 3500 miles but that is only to distract them an have them thinking how much more money there making driving teams versus solo drivers. in reality teams..an they keep you in the move i promise i bob tailed from portland to la so i didnt sit in oregon over weekend an can pick up fed ex load the following sunday which i was never paid for those 1000 bob tail miles an ....at least not officially as a load that is listed like the ones untransflo however i figured out why i couldnt get a straight answer about why im not being paid for the 1000 miles i drove....i realized it was literally bevause i was paid for it....those on duty hours were part of the total on duty/drive hours inwas paid for that week but my dm couldnt tell me that because they refuse to tell the truth about what drivers at western make. except trainers, trainers are paid hourly an western will even put 2 trainees in 1 truck an trainer will never drive 1 mile but get paid .50 or .55 per the minimum 3500 but probably 4000 average they drive a week. lmao they get easily 100,000 grand a year . of course they have to work for a month straight at a time off only wnor 3ndaysban back at it. anyway you are paid minimum wage driving for western. this is a fact. i currently work here....once u somehow become solo driver, as soon as they suspect or find out you know exactly how you are paid which you were lied to about...myblast check only delievring 3 loads but milking the clock i cleared 850 or i think 950 they obviously know im not stupid an sent me to walmart dedicated to make 300 a day which 5 days a week im picking up an delivering every day i assume. either way ima be drivin at least 2000 miles a week making 200 more a week possibly 300 more than i would driving solo but actually putting up 1000 more weekly miles so thats why they switched me an i know thats why. thats just the type of company they are. pueces of shit

Management is extremely rude. I went in for an interview with the director and he was a jerk. I answered all his questions nicely and he didn't like my answers so he got meaner and meaner. I haven't heard from them in about a month. You'd think they would call or email saying if I got the job or not. Nothing!

the company from what I seen is great, it's the recruiters. My recruiter mainly first off I asked her to run all my paperwork before I come period. i quit a job to come to western express for them to tell me I don't qualify, about something I didn't know was on my psp. now they left me in Nashville with no way home. Then I tried to call my recruiter to ask for my money back on the hotel she blocked me. My recruiter name was Brittany Guy

Here you will absolutely meet a team full of bad attitudes ! Not only are they rude but nasty with you on all levels! You will not like dealing with them period! I hate I left my company to even give them a try! Run far away from these people! They are Trash!

I have read the negative reviews,and the positive reviews.I have never allowed someone else's opinion sway me from a decision about my life.The person speaking negative might just be a goofy,or a weirdo so I'm gonna base my decision to change my life on the opinion of a weirdo,nah I'm good on that.Now onto the review my recruiter Tyva is the best she was just as hyped for me passing my exam than I was,she has been honest didn't blow no smoke,and all I can ask is honesty and everything she has said has happened.That being said if after Tyva the ball gets dropped it's no indication on her,she in my opinion is the best.I had 3 other offers but I can say that my decision to go with Western is because of Tyva.

Hard to contact with driver issues! Most drivers hardly speak English. Many drivers road hogs and rude. Stay away for training!

Horrible company! Liers! Stealing money from drivers! No one ever returns a phone call! The company doesn't pay the drivers what's due! My husband can't get hold of anyone and when he does, they hang up on him!!!! I personally tried calling HR/Payroll and no one ever returned my call! I will be reporting this scam and will get all my money that I worked for!
Dispatchers cuss at drivers and simply hang up. It is illegal not to pay your employees! If they don't know rules and laws, they will hear from department of Labor!!!!

Please hire drivers that don't try to kill other drivers on the road. In Atlanta rush hour traffic, I had a driver run me out of my lane and almost into another vehicle because he didn't want to merge before his lane ended. He felt entitled to my spot in traffic because he didn't want to merge into the MORE THAN BIG ENOUGH GAP FOR ME. The truck cab number is 12040. This occurred on 03/01 around 6pm merging into i-20 west from 285 west. The merge onto i-20 west is ALWAYS backed up and slowed down during rush hour. this inconvenience to your driver caused him to decide that running me out of my lane & almost into another driver, to get ONE CAR LENGTH AHEAD, was the correct answer. UNACCEPTABLE. DO BETTER.

Well I'll start by saying I am a truck driver with 4 years of experience no accidents and no CSA points. I've been with Western Express for 5 weeks. I'm supposed to be running southeast region but I'm here in Connecticut and it's Friday. I was told I would be home every weekend. I was told I was going to be getting 2300 miles a week. I have been sitting waiting for most of this week. I'm a truck driver give me the loads and I will run and be on time. With Western Express they have wasted most of my time this week sitting waiting for them to get me a load or waiting for an empty trailer. Do not go with this company.... I just had a Western Express driver hit my left side mirror I'm sitting like I have pretty much all week he was backing up to hook up a trailer and the person in the passenger seat laughed about it. This is not BS this actually happen while I'm sitting writing this review.

This place is a joke. They don't care about the drivers and the drivers in turn don't care about the things that they are hauling. Horrible place to work horrible to shop with. Very unprofessional.

came here back in 2017 as a new graduate and have been working here on and off since then. I was a little iffy about starting with this company because of some reviews but I am glad I made my own decision. Western has been good to me since day one. I have had a hand full of recruiters due to me taking extended periods of time off but most of them have been great. The only thing I would change is I wish they had more local opportunities

What a horrible place to work! I went there as a new hire fresh from trucking school. They promised me competitive wages, a new vehicle and room and board during my further training.
They issued me a vehicle that had just

For the road, They mistakenly put

In a repeater class and had me sign a contract ingot a lease Program a which is a no no when you are
Fresh from school, they placed
Me in a drug infested hotel
Partnered up with a different trucker everyday and mine had a fetishized for late night prostitutes. They offered me food truck bbq for food when n informed them ahead of time
That i had special diet
Restrictions, I told them I didn't not feel safe after their damaged truck mishap also that
My First trip was going to be traveling through an area in which there were five active tornadoes at the moment. They responded by telling me I had until morning to leave the hotel or they would call the police. Several other people I was Bunk'd up with had their own horror stories about the company as well they also tried to weasel me out of $4000 For a contract I was never supposed to sign and was actually ripped up and destroyed in front of me at their HR office somehow found its way with a digital copy and the records department at a later time. I would definitely search somewhere else before making this your occupation. Melissa the admissions lady had a horrible attitude from the beginning and even to this day. The overall experience was disorganized at best.

I would not recommend this place to no one if you have options please bypass this place it's very unprofessional they're rude yes it's easy to get the job but is it worth it is the question and if you look at the reviews on this company you were clearly see that it is not people are not making this stuff up this stuff is real you're underpaid for all the miles that you drive for them and all the freight that you move ,your DMs incompetent and does not know how to communicate with you at all and on top of that they don't like to communicate with you if it's not about the freight they could care less Females Please be aware of the terminal in Richmond Virginia it's not up to par as it seems if you see something that's not right nine times out of 10 it's not right if you feel you're getting treated or being handled a certain way nine times out of 10 you're right

Western Express is a good trucking company for both new drivers as well as seasoned veterans. The driver managers are willing to help out their drivers in any way they can. Wilson Leemon in particular has proven himself to be a very good DM, quickly moving up the ranks as one of the best. If anyone is considering a career in the trucking industry, I highly recommend Western Express.

DO NOT waste your time with this company!!! The recruiter gave me false information, wasted my time and money!! Their equipment is NOT new!! Again...DO NOT waste your time!
